Such a warehouse is ideal for storing, dispensing and counting consumables (e.g. gloves, filters, etc.).

It works in a similar way to a smart fridge system. All items are placed on shelves in the cabinet, which are set up specifically for those items, taking into account their weight and number. If it is necessary to record not only the quantities, but also to whom the items are taken, the cabinets can be programmed in such a way that each worker opens the cabinet using his or her personal card.

The smart shelves are equipped with weight sensors that sense the weight of the items on the shelf. These sensors ensure accurate detection of the weight or number of items and tracking of the items taken.

Smart Shop opened in Leppneeme harbour

In mid-October, an interesting and original shop called Lahe Pood opened its doors in Viimsi.

The shop got its name for two reasons: firstly, it is located in the small harbour of Leppneeme and secondly, it is really cool. The Lahe Shop is not just an ordinary grocery store. It's a fully unmanned 24/7 store with so-called Smart Shelves and Smart Fridge technology. All products are stored in refrigerators with weight-sensitive shelves. Each shelf is programmed for a specific product, so the shelves know which and how many products to take from them. Cabinet doors can be unlocked by authorising yourself with a bank card or e-wallet on your mobile phone....
